    Neueste

    Hinzugefügt

    • While you share your radio, Mute this tab in the sharing panel silences the sound on your computer only. Guests still hear the radio.

    Geändert

    • The generated sharing password is shown as one continuous string, the way it is typed.

    Behoben

    • Guests could see no memory slots although the radio had some, for instance after the language was changed during sharing or after a slot was saved on the radio itself. The app now reads the radio’s memory again when guests get control or join.

    Hinzugefügt

    • Radio sharing. In Chrome, Edge or Opera on a computer, Share radio under Radio tools lets other people listen to your radio and watch its readings through a one-time link and a password of at least 16 characters, with up to 10 guests at once. Guests only listen by default; you can let a guest tune the radio, one at a time, and take control back whenever you like. While you share, the radio’s volume is set to 75% and locked, and a volume knob turned on the radio itself is set back. Guests open the link at /remote in any current browser, phones included: Android keeps playing with the screen locked, and on an iPhone or iPad the sound shows up under Now Playing. Not available on Berndt’s firmware. Sound and readings go directly between the browsers, or through a Cloudflare relay when a direct connection is not possible. The site does not record or store the sound.

    Geändert

    • The privacy policy and the terms of service now describe radio sharing, in a new section 3.10 and the matching places in the terms.
    • The German texts now address you informally (“du”), like the other languages.
    • The About page, the FAQ and the text on the connection card now say that the connection to your radio never goes through a server, and that Safari and Firefox can listen to a shared radio even though they cannot connect a radio themselves.
    • When Auto-capture is off, the Radio display card shows a live imitation of the radio’s screen instead of an old screenshot.

    Behoben

    • Tuning right after a band or mode change could tune the wrong band and keep turning the dial for minutes, for instance with Next band followed at once by a memory slot on another band. A tune now plans again from what the radio itself reports, and tells you when it stops: the radio is on another band, in another mode, or the tune gave up. This holds for the controller, the radio panel on other pages, search and browser assistants.
    • On Monster firmware, recalling a memory slot right after pressing a button could be carried out before that press.
    • The “Skip to radio controls” link on content pages appeared before the radio panel had loaded, so keyboard focus went nowhere.
  3. 1. Oktober 2026

    Hinzugefügt

    • Memory slot names, with official firmware 2.42 or newer. A slot can carry a name of up to 9 characters, which the radio shows in its memory menu. The memory list shows it in place of the frequency, the slot editor has a field for it, a station saved from the EiBi schedule takes its broadcast name (shortened to fit), and Upload writes the names and checks them when it reads the slots back. Names you give slots on the radio itself, for instance in its Wi-Fi memory editor, appear in the list too. Older firmware has no names, and the app sends none to it.

    Geändert

    • On a phone, Tune, Memory and Stations open as panels sliding up over the radio display instead of separate pages. Starting to listen to something — a typed frequency, a recent one, a band button, a memory slot or a station — closes the panel straight away, while the radio is still retuning, so you are back at the display. The Back button closes an open panel. While a slower tune is still running, its progress and a Cancel button show under the display.
    • The radio panel on the other pages of the site closes the same way on a phone once a tune starts.
    • On a phone, until a radio is connected, Tune, Memory and Stations in the bottom bar are greyed out, and so are the tools under More that need a radio. Propagation, Audio, Logbook and Terminal stay available.
    • On a phone, the Help button is gone from the top bar: getting started, the keyboard shortcuts, the guides and the FAQ are all under More.
    • Panels that slide up from the bottom of a phone screen no longer show a handle at the top. They could never be dragged, and the space it took is gone too.
    • The screenshot is no longer dimmed while the next one is on its way.
    • The firmware installer’s three-file option now also writes the small boot selector that comes with every official release. A radio last updated over Wi-Fi starts from the second of its two firmware slots, and without it could go on starting the old firmware after the install.
    • The installer’s merged-image option now says plainly that it erases the radio’s memory slots as well as its settings.

    Behoben

    • Tuning by typing a frequency did not take a new screenshot, so the display kept showing the old frequency until the next button press. With auto-capture on, a screenshot now follows every tune.
    • With official firmware 2.41 or newer and auto-capture on, the first memory slots could be missing from the list right after connecting: whatever the radio sent straight after a screenshot was dropped.

    Geändert

    • Screenshots from official firmware 2.41 or newer use the radio’s new compact screenshot command: half as much data for the same image, so a capture finishes sooner, most of all over Bluetooth. Older firmware keeps the command it has always used.
    • Auto-capture is switched on when a radio with official firmware 2.41 or newer connects over USB, and the first screenshot is taken as soon as the radio reports in, instead of after the first change. Over Bluetooth, or with older firmware, it starts off as before.

    Hinzugefügt

    • A new interface, drawn from scratch for phones, tablets and desktops. Besides the dark appearance there is a light one; by default the app follows the system, and the choice sits in the footer (on a phone, under More).
    • Search across pages, guides and their sections, gear and resources: ⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl K elsewhere, the magnifier in the top bar on a phone. It also finds EiBi stations, but only in the schedule this browser has already downloaded, and on the controller page your memory slots and the radio tools. Typing a frequency such as 9420 offers to tune the radio there.
    • Memory slots show a station name when the EiBi schedule has a broadcast on that frequency in the same band: whichever is on air now, or, when the frequency always carries the same station, that station.
    • The decoder lays FT8 out as a table of time, audio frequency and message, and marks both RTTY tones on the waterfall.
    • Several notices can be on screen at once. Each stays for at least six seconds, and waits while the pointer or the keyboard focus is on it.

    Geändert

    • Until a radio is connected, the controller page shows the connection card and a short description of the app. The display, tuning, controls, memory and station lists appear with the radio.
    • The spectrum scanner, seek, decoder, theme editor and terminal share one Radio tools menu in the status bar; on a phone they are tiles under More.
    • The welcome screen and the list of keyboard shortcuts open from the Help menu in the header, on every page, instead of the two floating buttons on the controller page.
    • The spectrum is drawn as bars in the colours of the chosen appearance, and the PNG export uses the same colours.
    • The privacy policy lists three more settings this browser keeps: the light or dark choice, recently tuned frequencies and a hidden support card.

    Behoben

    • Going from the controller to another page, a guide for instance, and back left the radio connected while the page said it was not. Connect did nothing and there was no Disconnect until a reload. The connection now carries over, together with the status readout, the memory list and the screenshots taken so far.
    • Screen readers heard nothing when a screenshot was taken: the announcement was prepared but never reached the page. It is read out now.
  6. 15. September 2026

    Behoben

    • Radios on the official firmware fell silent after connecting: the status readout stayed empty, no screenshot ever came, and a banner asked for Ad hoc to be enabled on a radio that already had it on. That firmware sends nothing until it is asked to — its data output is off after every power-on — and the 2026.09 release had stopped asking. The app asks again, about five seconds after connecting, once it has established that the radio has nothing to say on its own; a radio that is already sending is left alone. The 2026.09 entry below promised that radios on the official firmware would need nothing configured; until this release, that is not what shipped.
    • A radio with saved memories fared worse. The memory listing it sends in reply to the app’s own request was not recognised, so after a few seconds the radio was declared unknown and every command was slowed to the one-every-five-seconds pace reserved for Berndt’s firmware. The listing is now recognised for what it is: proof of the official firmware.
    • The “no reply from the radio” banner no longer flashes on a healthy radio. It waits a moment for the radio to start talking, and appears only if it does not.
  7. 11. September 2026

    Hinzugefügt

    • The app now recognises which firmware a connected radio runs and adapts to it. Radios on the official firmware need nothing configured: they are recognised silently, with no banner and no question.
    • A profile for the ATS Mini Monster fork — its wider status frame, and its own faster commands for setting a band or mode directly and recalling a memory slot in one go. Written from the fork’s documentation and never exercised on a working radio: Monster publishes only an octal-PSRAM (OPI) image, and on the one radio this project ran it on, PSRAM failed to initialise and the app was left with nothing to control. A quad-PSRAM board is the likely explanation, though that board’s memory type was never established.
    • ATS Mini Monster on GitHub (öffnet in einem neuen Tab)
    • Support for H. J. Berndt’s firmware, which shares no wire protocol with the official one. Four controls are offered on it — screen capture, the memory listing, the station listing and the data-output toggle. Memory editing, the theme editor, calibration, sleep, the spectrum scanner and seek are absent from the page.
    • That firmware accepts about one command every five seconds: buttons stay clickable, a countdown says when the next one can go out, and a change needing a burst of commands is refused rather than attempted. Its screen captures arrive as a raw image and took about six seconds on the bench.
    • Switching to Berndt’s firmware always asks first, and the answer is remembered per radio. The app never adopts it on its own — that console reuses several of the official firmware’s characters and what they do there has not been established.
    • H. J. Berndt’s firmware page (German) (öffnet in einem neuen Tab)
    • A radio answering in a shape the app does not know is named as no firmware at all, and everything it is sent is paced at the slowest rate any supported firmware needs. Any choice is reversible: “Not this firmware?” in the Connection panel clears it and re-detects on the next connection.

    Geändert

    • Controls a connected firmware cannot serve are absent from the page rather than shown greyed out — what is not there cannot be reached by its keyboard shortcut either.
    • Keyboard shortcuts follow the connected firmware: only the ones it understands are listed and active.
    • Status readings a firmware does not send show as a dash rather than 0, so an empty field cannot be read as a real measurement.

  • USB Serial

Settings USB Port von Off auf Ad hoc ändern

Funktioniert in jedem Chromium-basierten Browser.
