The EiBi shortwave schedule browser

Find out what is broadcasting on shortwave right now: browse the built-in EiBi schedule, filter by on-air time, distance and language, and tune or save in one click.

Shortwave is full of stations, but knowing what you are hearing, or what you could hear right now, is half the hobby. The app builds in the EiBi schedule, a free list of shortwave broadcasts, so you can browse it without leaving the page.

It’s built in, and works offline

Open the EiBi tab and the schedule loads into the app. The data is saved locally in your browser, so after the first load it is available offline and opens instantly. A Refresh button updates it when a new season is published. (EiBi schedules change a few times a year.)

What’s on air now

By default the list is filtered to Currently on-air, only the stations broadcasting at this moment, based on each entry’s transmission times (in UTC) and the days it runs. It keeps itself current as time passes, so the list always reflects what you can actually tune to. Turn the filter off to see the full schedule, including stations that are off air now.

Sort by distance

Sort by location to rank stations by how far the transmitter is from you. The nearest are often the strongest. Choosing this asks your browser for your location (you can decline). It is used only to compute distances and is not sent anywhere.

Search and group

Search by station name, language, target area or country. Group duplicates collapses the many entries on a single frequency into one card showing everyone who shares that channel, handy for working out which of several stations you are actually hearing.

From listing to listening

Each entry has two actions. Tune drives the radio straight to that station, in the right mode. Save drops it into your first free memory slot. From there you can upload it to the radio; see Memory channels.

The same schedule is published at its original source, eibispace.de, but you do not need to download anything by hand; the EiBi tab is the same data, ready to use. For more station lists and tools, see Resources.
